Publication date Topics Optical illusions Internet Archive Books. Delaware County District Library (Ohio) Scanned in : The puzzles and brain teasers by Raymond Smullyan were recommended to me, so I bought this book and two others. I'm very disappointed. They are either too simple or too challenging and there are way too many pure logic puzzles to suit my taste. I found myself giving up about half way through and not even looking at the other books I bought/5(52).

I am very pleased with the purchase of this book. It offeres different sort of puzzles, illusions, brain games, geometry problems, word problems, scientific problems rated by its difficulty. Some of them are even suitable for the children from 7 years old.I liked the fact that each puzzle or problem has an explanation not only an answer.4/5(14). Brain Teasers.       Brain Candy is a collection of scientific facts and logic puzzles that seem to be geared towards the those who read on the toilet club (of whom I do not count myself a member). There are some interesting tid-bits of information to be found, but the brevity with which each topic is covered doesnt lend itself to depth/5.   This book covers a wide variety of subjects. It is not a puzzle book in the strict sense of solving little teasers, but it is a book that starts one thinking in broader terms. Some paradoxes and concepts addressed in this book, that great thinkers spent time debating and questioning, are fun for us more common thinkers to consider as well/5(5).
